The concept of the Trinity is one of the hardest things to understand in Christianity. This picture is not intended to explain the Trinity. This picture is a portrayal of the Trinity which I accept as the God of the Christian faith – Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

The Father
(The Light)
Father: one who imparts life and is committed to it.
Matthew 10:32 ESV
“So everyone who acknowledges Me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven,”
The Father sent the Son to redeem us and restore us to a loving relationship with Himself, forgiving us of all sin.

The Son
(The Cross)
Through the work of the cross, the Son has redeemed those who believe.
John 3:16 ESV
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Christ was crucified on the cross for our sake, becoming our Redeemer and Savior. The Son restores us to a proper relationship with the Father.

The Holy Spirit
(The Dove)
The Holy Spirit anointed Jesus, and those who believe in Him are also given the Holy Spirit.
John 1:32 ESV
And John bore witness, “I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and It remained on Him.”
Holy Spirit is sent by the Son to strengthen us in our faith, empowering us to live this life for God, and He is our promise of eternal life.
